What is Product Bundle campaign?

Product bundles are a way to group together multiple products and sell them as a single package. This can be a great way to increase sales and offer your customers more value for their money.

Instruction

If you want to set up Product Bundles campaign, please follow these steps below:

Step 1: Access to campaign setting up page

  • First of all, you need to access to the app from the Shopify Admin page.

  • Next, go to "Explore all app" and select the Bundle feature

  • Select "Create new" to create Bundle campaign

Step 2: Create Bundle package

This step allows you to define which products are part of the upsell offer being created

  • Each "Product Box" is equivalent to a product that would be part of the Product Bundle. By default, it has 2 Product boxes that you can modify, but you can add up to 3 more products, making it up to a 5-Product Bundle

  • In each Product box, you can modify it to the following options:

    • Any Product (Default): This means that any product in your store are eligible for this Product Bundle upsell offer.

    • List products: By selecting this option, you can choose which products are eligible for this Product Bundle upsell offer.

    • List collections: By selecting this option, you can choose which collections are eligible for this Product Bundle upsell offer.

  • Once you're satisfied with your choices, the Preview Pane on the right side will provide a preview of how it will look on your product page. You can then continue to Step 3.

Step 3: Discount value

This next step helps you define the discount you would like this offer to have.

  • In this step, you can define the discount behaviour that this Product Bundle will use. The following options are found within this step:

    • Discount type (Percent or Fixed Amount): This main discount option will determine how much discount you would like this Product Bundle to have.

      • Percent (default): Any value that you place here from 0 to 99% will have that equivalent discount amount off the whole bundle

      • Fixed Amount: This alternative discount option will let you provide how much (in your store currency) exact discount you would like your Product Bundle to have when purchased, instead of being percentage based.

You can place 0 if you only like to create a Product Bundle interface, but don't desire to place a discount off the Product Bundle.

  • You can also set where the discounts will be based off to:

    • Current Product Prices: The defined discount will only be based on the current, active price of the products in the bundle.

    • Initial Product Prices: The defined discount will be based on the initial," compare at" price of the products, to make the discount appear bigger (but the discount amount will still be the same

Please keep in mind that the discounts based on the initial price are only a way to show customers a bigger discount. However, the discount itself is applied to the current price of the product.

For example, a product with the current price of $100 and an initial price of ~~$200~~ with a 10% discount will only have a $10 discount but will show as $110.

In other words, the real discount and the price difference are added up, where $10 is 10% of the $100 current price added up with the difference of $100 between the initial and current price, resulting in a total discount shown to the customer of $110.

Once you're happy with your discount definition, you can go to the next step - Display.

Step 4: Display

In this step, you can control how and where you would like the Product Bundle offer to be displayed. This is divided into four sections:

  • Product Page:

    • In this section, you can change basic text settings of how the bundle will display on the product page

      • Discount title format: Choose a name that will impress customers

      • CTA button text: The content in the button, take strong action with customers

      • Variant selection: Do you want to allow customers to choose the variants of products in a bundle?

      • Custom style (of button)

  • Cart page

    • With this section, you can customize how the upsell suggestion on the cart page will appear.

  • Add to cart button

    • This feature of the Product Bundle upsell offer lets the bundle have the ability to show up as a pop-up when a visitor clicks the main Add-to-Cart button of a participating product.

    • This is a great feature to enable to ensure that all visitors to your store can interact with your created Product Bundle, even if they don't click this offer's own Add-to-Cart button.

  • Post Purchase on Thank You Page

    • You can enable this option if you would like to have an upsell suggestion that appears after the customer orders an eligible product from your store, but has not ordered enough to qualify for a Volume Discount.

Please note that you can enable/disable any one of these placement options, according to your preference. But for the highest conversion rate and value, we recommend enabling all of them.

Once you're satisfied with these different placement options, you can now proceed to Step 5 - Review.

Step 5: Review

Review your chosen settings and activate/publish the upsell offer:

In this final step, you can see an overview of the chosen options from the previous step, and also set the following features:

  • Offer Status (Draft or Active) - You can choose Active if you would like this upsell offer to be activated right away once you save your changes. Otherwise, you can choose Draft.

  • Offer Name - You can also define an internal name for this Product Bundle upsell offer for easier management of offers inside the Boost Upsell mini app.

  • Time period: You can set a time to automatically stop running a campaign. The start date is always the date the campaign is created. You can enable and adjust the end date of the campaign.

You can preview all display pages in all 3 steps when setting up a campaign.
